From Cordoba (Spain's, not Argentina) reaches the "rival" of the Apple tablet pc, although in this case without DRM or similar crap, 100% free, with characteristics similar or even higher than this.
To begin the screen is larger, 10.2 inches compared to 9.7 of the pileup of Apple (not a huge difference, but thanks), has 1.3-megapixel camera with the iPad thing does not count, 3 USB ports, VGA out connection, headphone jack and a bigger hard drive (80 GB model iPad vs maximum of 160 gb of this iFreeTablet).
All this and more, priced between 300 and 400 € according to the official website of the project, 100 € less than the basic model 40 gb
The downside seems to be pre-installed operating system, called SIESTA (Integrated e-Services and Assistive Technology), but with the possibility of installing any distro of GNU / Linux ready for Netbooks (eg Ubuntu Netbook Remix) this is apparently not a "problem" seriously.
